Classroom environment - suggested guiding questions for your group discussion and document, however, there are many others so please do include your experiences even if they are outside the given list -
  • abusive student attitudes and behaviours
  • achieving diversity and cooperation
  • managing interruptions, e.g., misuse of mobile devices
  • social and emotional factors
  • gender and race issues
    - To what extent do you believe that the gender of the teacher or the student influences the selection of classroom rules? Provide an example.


Discuss the above points - in groups listed below - share your experiences and how you have found solutions to various situations - what are these solutions.
Document your discussion in a Google Doc shared with me and your group members, titled 'Classroom Management Group#'.
Each student is to list one situation in the Doc with solutions to the "problem". If you don't have a solution, ask your group for suggested actions. Label your entry with your first name. (20 marks)

Each member then comments on their peers' situations with alternative solutions, suggestions. Use the Comment feature in Google Docs. (5 marks)
